Students in Mr. McDowell's Earth Science class have been studying weather and climate change. To conclude the unit, students did thorough and thoughtful research to formulate their opinions on climate change. Students participated in a Socratic Seminar to discuss their beliefs on climate change and if it is naturally occurring or man made or both. Students had wonderful contributions and great insights about this topic.

Students in Mrs. Bowles' Physical Science class learned about the Law of Conservation of Mass in a different way today. Instead of listening to Mrs. Bowles lecture all about this topic, students assumed the role of a scientist trying to prove the law. Students were presented with a problem, many different materials, then they had to come up with their own experiment. Next class, students will be arguing the law and whether or not their experiment demonstrated the Law of Conservation of Mass. Stay tuned for more photos and updates!
