A website has been created by the Parent Institute Committee for the Office of Differentiated Academic Programs and Professional Learning. The information draws on research, best practice, and the experiences of educators and parents of students in the gifted program in Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
This site looks at accomplishment from a number of perspectives and includes the opportunity for you to blog your reactions, insights, opinions, and anecdotes. It is expected that the information will be evolving based on your feedback and as new research becomes available.

VBCPS Gifted and Talented Bulletin
The newsletter for Gifted Programs in VBCPS, the Gifted and Talented Bulletin, is an electronic publication published twice a year. If you haven’t yet signed up, it’s easy! Click on the mail icon on the top right of the menu bar on our VBCPS home page (http://www.vbschools.com/) and scroll down to find the newsletter subscription area. Look for the Gifted and Talented Bulletin and subscribe. Once signed up, notification will be emailed to you announcing the posting of the latest issue. The Gifted and Talented Bulletin includes links to a Blog and to parent resources of interest that are frequently updated. Archived issues are also available through this link. Mailed versions of the most current issue are available upon request by contacting the Office of Gifted Education at 263-1405.
