Students in Mr. Alfonsi's English class are reading the novel, Everything on a Waffle. This past Monday, students analyzed the main characters of the novel using Kaplan's Icons. Using Kaplan's Icons allowed students to further understand the main characters, think critically about their characteristics, and predict what has potentially happened to Primrose's parents.

Students in Mrs. Hackett's science class explored heat by designing their own experiments! Looks like they are definitely heating up the classroom!
Today's Gifted and Talented lunch was all about STEM. Our students created a bridge built out of straws and tape only. The goal is to build the sturdiest bridge to hold a cup full of pennies! Most students did not finish today, so we will have another lunch next Wednesday to test our bridges! We can't wait for the results!
Mrs. Hackett's 6th grade Advanced Science students are studying about the different types of energy and how energy can be converted from one form to another. Her students conducted research to become an expert on one specific device that uses energy. Once they finished gathering the information, they worked cooperatively with their groups to share their expert opinion with their classmates.
